The Chiffons

The Chiffons started singing in 1963. The Chiffons biggest hits were "He’s So Fine", "One Fine Day", and "Sweet Talking Guy". Other well known recordings of The Chiffons were "Out of this World", "I Have A Boyfriend" and "Nobody Knows What’s Going On In My Mind". "He’s So Fine" stayed on the charts in America, as well as Overseas for seven weeks resulting in a gold record for selling seven million records. In 1964 The Chiffons recorded under a different name - they were called The Four Pennies. Under The Four Pennies, the group recorded "My Block" which was also a hit. The Beatles, after having The Chiffons as an opening act in London, were impressed. This in turn resulted in The Chiffons being the first American group to sing with the Beatles in the United States.

Presently, The Chiffons are still in demand overseas and in the United States. Recently, an album of the girls’ most popular records was recorded overseas. About five years ago the group went to Wales to perform, receiving a feed-back of the country’s national anthem as a show of appreciation.

We are now in the millennium and The Chiffons are still overwhelming audiences with their performances.
